Many people are still ignorant to the nature of animal testing. It is a torturous process for many animals stuck in laboratories, such as: bunnies, monkeys, rats, dogs and other rodents. It often involves abuse such as injections, inhalation and force-feeding to test responses. 

In 2025, where many brands are able to conduct tests in other ways such as in vitro, in silico and in chemico methods as well as human volunteers, animal-testing is outdated and unnecessary and any brand that still conducts it is either lazy, evil or money hungry.

Many brands would be cruelty-free if it wasn't for selling their cosmetics in countries such as China, where products sold in physical stores still have to be tested on animals by law. However, since many brands simply opt out of selling in China, there is no excuse. 

We should all strive to shop cruelty-free when we can, and give a platform to brands that care about such issues. Here on Gentle Panda, you will only find brands that care about animals, people and the planet.
